Long time, no write...

Wow, it has been an extremely long time since I have posted. In that period of time my older sister has developed type one diabetes, my older brother has been excepted to a college and I have started teaching at my karate school now would be a good time to sit back and relax. Sadly I can not. Camp NaNoWriMo calleth me. Right now though I could use some M&M's or any type of chocolate really.

For now, here is a excerpt from my current NaNo:

Rauri turned towards the noise a look of apprehension on her face, nothing was there. How could this be safe? The entire imperialist army was after her and Fion.
She hesitated a moment longer than turned around again and continuing to pick to lock on the armory door.
"Who knew that a Lady of the court could pick locks." Chuckled Fion from behind her. She rolled her eyes.
"I'm one of the long line of War Masters of Hamon Heath, Fion. This is part of my upbringing."

As you could probably tell this is rather raw, and unfinished. I hope that you are all doing well and I can't wait to talk to you all again soon!

Ciao!

Dear Diary...

Dear Diary...
I'm so bored right now, I haven't been outside for a while now. Add that to the fact that I hurt my foot at karate yesterday and my Brother is now calling me 'Gimpy' and you get one very irritated and BORED Mim. I talked my Mom into letting me use the computer and now I'm sitting here reading e-books and typing up blog posts.... Did I mention that I turned fourteen a month ago yesterday? 'Cuz I did. And I am also very bored right now, I want chocolate and we have none in the house. Joy. Did you sense the sarcasm there? It's right in between the 'house' and the 'Did', it also has a sentence all to itself. And now I'm rambling so, Ciao!

One very bored and chocolate craving,
Mim Grace

You're a mean one Eustace Scrubb...

One of my friends from the wonderful forum known as NarniaWeb made this poem/song thingy to the tune of 'You're a mean one Mr. Grinch' So, thank you RJ.

You’re a mean one Eustace Scrubb
You really are a sod
You're mean all through
I really won't applaud you
Eustace Scrubb!
You're a rotten cousin
With an annoying smirk
You're a monster, Eustace Scrubb
Your heart's in need of love
Your not so very bright
You need help from above
Eustace Scrubb!
I wouldn't touch you
With a thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole!
You're a sad one, Eustace Scrubb
You have issues with being nice
You pick on other people
Without thinking twice
Eustace Scrubb
I can't believe how mean you are
You should try to smile!
You're a lost one, Eustace Scrubb
You're bitter to the bone
Your mind is full of cruel things
Your heart is like a stone
Eustace Scrubb!
The words that used to describe you
Are as follows, and I quote,
"Stink, stank, stunk!"
You're a changed one, Eustace Scrubb
You're different from before
Your heart was changed by grace and love
Wait til you see what's on store
Eustace Scrubb!
Your soul was a disgrace before
But now it's been restored
And you have cast off the dead skin
Now your old life's gone
You weren't as bad as cousin Ed
But you were still really mean
You've got a new life now
And it can't all yet be seen
Eustace Scrubb!
You will return to Narnia
And have adventures
With Jill Pole!

Well done RJ. :P

One year.

It has almost been a year since my grandma died, this time last year my family was preparing ourselves for her death, we knew it was coming, but I never thought that it would leave me so sad, I wasn't overly close to her, but I was close enough that it left a hole, a hole I immediately filled with my other family members, also I met my cousin for the first time, I can't say that I missed much by not knowing him, I learned that he was my family though, and that nothing could change that. No amount of pain could change the fact that he, despite the fact that he seemed distant and slightly odd to me. I heard a song a week after my grandma died. I loved it, and immediately thought that my grandma should have heard it, but she never did. The day before she died I went with my mom to visit her, when we left I didn't say that I loved her, I thought that I would see her the next day, instead I learned that she had died, I wish now that I had said that I loved her when I left but nothing will ever change the fact that I didn't. Here is the song that I wished she could have heard:

Chasen – Crazy Beautiful
From the album – Shine Through The Stars

Everybody's been there
everyone's the same
but mostly we don't care
isn't that a shame
We bring us down face after face
the inside is beautiful but the outside we want to change.
We want to change.

Chorus
Whoa you're oh so beautiful,
you don't need anyone's approval
You've got to believe in your self you know you are
You're crazy beautiful

There's no need to change
We're different but the same
In the eyes of the King
We're beautifully made
In his image we're made

Take a look it's all around you
See the world from different views
The way you shine from the inside
I know with out a doubt
It's more than what you'll be
In the world's eyes.

Whoa you're oh so beautiful, you don't need anyone's a approval
You've got to believe in your self you know you are

You're crazy beautiful

My Grandma is dead in body, but I hope that someday I will meet her again and I hope to tell her one last time that I love her.

Dear NaNoWriMo...

Dear NaNoWriMo,

I would like to say thank you, thank you for making me the most stressed out thirteen year old girl in the history of the universe, well maybe not in the history of the universe but defiantly in the history of NaNoWriMo. Thank you for making my friends say to me that I'm insane. Thank you for making my mom feel sorry for me so much that she buys me candy. Thank you for making it so that my sister and I make up our very own song about NaNoWriMo. (to the tune of 'I've got a dream' from Disney's Tangled) Thank you NaNoWriMo for a month of insane yet fun Word Wars, and most of all thank you for making it so that I can have a ton of fun with my eaqually insane friends...

Sincerely stressed
Mim

Beautiful People~ NaNo edition

  1. Sum up your novel in five words or less. War. Trial. Friendship. Hope. Fear.
  2. Novel title? 3025
  3. Sum up your main character(s) in one word each. Amë: Fearful. Lupa: Scared. Karina: Broken.
  4. Advice for newbies in three words? Don't edit. Write.
  5. Tell us about your secondary characters, how do they affect the story? Most of my secondary characters affect the story through Amë, some of them are sort of main characters too (Lupa and Karina) But most are just on the side lines directing what Amë does un-seen.
  6. Do you plan to stay up till midnight on the 31st? Of course! I wouldn't dream of not doing so, I didn't do it last year so I want to this year!
  7. How many years have you done NaNo? Only last year, I won too I was super happy about that!
  8. What came first, characters, or plot idea? Well, for once my plot came first, last year I was a person with no plot, and it was horrible!
  9. How much prep do you do before November? Well, this year I wrote out the entire storyline in a time-line form. Normally A.K.A last year... Eh, I can do that stuff in November. I also write out character bios. I found that this is really helpful for me, but that may just be because I always have a bajillion characters. :P
  10. Now be honest, how do you really feel about NaNo? I really enjoy it except for the last week when I'm running around stressing out cuz' I'm behind.

NaNo..and No new update

Hey everyone, I'm afraid I have no new update on Dane though his Dad says he's doing better he still needs prayer, he is at a rehab facility for people with trauma/brain damage it is one of the best in the state which tells us that its pretty severe.

On a slightly more cheerful note NANOWRIMO!!! I am super excited for NaNo this year, here's the excerpt for my novel:

The year is 3025, Captain Amë Lisana Han is a new graduate from West point Military Academy, she and the other members of the U.S. armed forces and their allies, Canada, Britain, and the other European countries are fighting a losing battle against the Prussians and their allies Germany, China and Japan. It is the tenth world war...and we may not survive.

Sorry for the short post, I have dinner soon.
Bye! ~Mim
